Bucket List

"We need something to do, something to hope for and someone to love"
Lou Holtz

"Come play with your own age group!"

Bucket List Definition:"A list of things a person wants to do before reaching a certain age or dying."

We've all heard the term, and it's a pretty sure bet that most Boomers have at least a few things on their lists.

We Boomers were raised by the greatest generation; a generation that gifted us an amazing country with extraordinary sights to see and endless activities to explore. Experiencing the abundance of what our country has to offer is a must; whether you enjoy the musty smell of an old Western museum, or the heart-pounding excitement of a drag strip.

Create a bucket list of your own and cross some things off! Don't wait. Want some ideas? This page is a good place to start. We're always open to suggestions, so if your state has something that qualifies as "bucket-worthy" let us know, and we'll add it to the page.

What is "The Long and Short of It?"

Inspired by Paul Harvey's "The Rest of the Story," we occasionally showcase a person or thing that was widely known and embraced by mid-century popular culture. Examples might be an actor, a toy, or simply an idea that was notably popular in the 50's, 60's or 70's. Tune in to our podcast to see if you can guess who or what it is before the "reveal" at the end!
